Job Overview:

Leatherhead Football Club has an objective of increasing its profile within the community it serves;
this includes improving our reputation, presence and involvement with local schools. The Schools
Liaison Officer plays a crucial role in achieving this objective by fostering strong relationships
between our football club and local schools.
As a Schools Liaison Officer, you will serve as a bridge between the club and schools, facilitating
various initiatives and activities to promote the club.
You will work closely with – and be supported by – an energetic, ambitious and talented leadership
team at the club. So, this is a great opportunity to become involved in developing the future of the
football club and its future as an important part of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong partnerships with local primary and secondary
schools, colleges, and educational institutions.
2. Promote Club Initiatives: With others create and disseminate information about the club's
community activities, events, and promotional initiatives to schools and educational
stakeholders.
3. Arrange School Visits: Organize and conduct visits to schools to promote the club, discuss
potential collaborations, and engage with students and staff.
4. Coordinate Player Visits: Arrange for players, coaches, or club representatives to visit schools,
delivering inspiring talks, coaching sessions, or other football-related activities.
5. Matchday Engagement: Collaborate with schools to organise matchday experiences for
students, including group attendance, special seating, or halftime activities.
6. Fundraising and Donations: Work with schools on fundraising projects or donation drives that
benefit both the club and educational institutions.
7. Feedback and Reporting: Collect feedback from schools and educational partners regarding the
club's involvement, and provide regular reports to the club management.
8. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to school partnerships,
including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.

Qualifications:
 Passion for football and Leatherhead FC in particular, and a genuine interest in community
development.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
 Excellent organisational and time management skills.
 Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for school events and club activities.
 Access to reliable transportation for school visits and events.
 A valid background check may be required.
