Leatherhead Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Tyler Cox from Sutton Common Rovers.
Having played in influential role in steering SCR from relegation, Sutton’s influential captain is a welcome addition to Hayden Bird’s squad.
“We were very impressed with Tyler on each of the three occasions we met Sutton,” explained the Manager. “He is quick, has good feet and will add fire-power to the team. Importantly, we were equally as impressed with his work-rate and his attitude. He will be a good addition to Leatherhead.”
“In planning our recruitment strategy, we wanted to create a team with the balance of experience and young players, who are hungry to progress. Tyler fits into this profile of player and we are pleased he has joined us. There were a number of clubs interested in Tyler and I would like to thank Lee Flavin at Non League Chance for assisting myself and Junior in completing the deal.”
“I’m pleased to be here!” enthused our new winger. “I was really impressed with the way Leatherhead play and want to be a part of that. I was also excited to play at Fetcham Grove in front of the supporters. The atmosphere in the League game last season was great and I’m looking forward to playing in front of our fans every week!”
