The club is sorry to announce that Tommy Kavanagh will be leaving the club at the end of the month because he and his family are relocating to Dubai for professional reasons. Whilst we are sorry to lose Tommy from Fetcham Grove he goes with our very best wishes for his exciting new life, and our gratitude for his contribution to the club during his time with us.

Manager Ian Selley commented: “Tommy has been an important and influential member of the player group and we will miss him. When I was assembling the squad last summer he was one of the first people I wanted to recruit. His influence on and off the pitch has been immense, he is a quality player and a quality individual, always willing to share his great football experience and knowledge with others in this young squad. He goes with our very best wishes, but we will miss you Kavs!”

And from Kavs himself “The move to Dubai has happened very quickly and is an exciting opportunity for my family, but bitter sweet as my final Leatherhead game at the end of the month could be my last game I play, not just for Leatherhead but in my career which isn’t something I was planning on.
I just wanted to say it has been a pleasure to play and captain this club, everyone has been very welcoming and there are so many good people at the club which is very rare to find. I wish everyone at the club all the best in the future and it goes without saying that I will be keeping a close eye on things, I hope to see the club make positive strides in the future.”

The last scheduled game that Tommy is available for is our home game versus Metropolitan Police on Saturday 25th January.
