On the eve of the new season, Leatherhead Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of two players.
Versatile defender Junior Savane signs from East Grinstead United, having impressed everyone in pre-season with a number of solid performances. Joining Junior, is Fulham’s U21 Goalkeeper, Mikey Allen. Mikey has penned a Season Long Loan Deal, to compete for the Number 1 jersey with Serine Sanneh.
“I’m delighted both Junior and Mikey have signed for Leatherhead,” said Manager Hayden Bird. “Junior has really impressed me. It’s easy to see why Sheffield Wednesday were so interested in him whilst he was with Dulwich Hamlet, last season.”
“I’d like to thank Vic Bettinelli, Hayden Mullins, Nick Alford and Charlotte for helping us sign Mikey so quickly. In speaking to Vic, Mikey is very highly regarded at Craven Cottage. He will be a great addition to the squad and hopefully, playing for Leatherhead will help Mikey in his development. It will be an interesting battle between him and Serine.”
