Following a calf injury to Dorking Wanderers goalkeeper Dan Lincoln on Saturday afternoon, Slavomir Huk has been recalled by The National League Club.

“I’d like to thank Slav, who has been a revelation during his loan here,” said Manager Hayden Bird. “I speak on behalf of everyone at Leatherhead, in wishing Slav the greatest success with Dorking.”

When asked if loan players being recalled can be disruptive, the Leatherhead Manager provided an insight to his philosophy next season.

“We always knew this could happen, it’s a consideration with any loan. Thankfully, Serine has already shown he is ready to play and I’m delighted to present him with this opportunity. Serine has worked hard, impressed everyone and deserves to play.”

“In speaking more generally, in arriving during the season, I think the loans have helped us. However, both continuity and stability will be key factors within the squad next season. That will mean signing players on permanent deals, rather than on loan agreements.”

As Hayden prepares for Saturday’s game with Thatcham Town, the Manager also confirmed he did not expect any new players to be signed before Thursday’s Transfer Deadline.
