Although we recorded a short interview after the game on Saturday we had an issue with the sound quality so below is the transcript from Dave’s interview after our 2-0 home win against Thatcham Town.
Dave “ Hayden how do you feel after today’s 2-0 win over Thatcham Town ?”
Hayden “ I think the players did a great job today, Thatcham were a good side and we new it was going to be a tough one today, but I thought the boys played for the moments and those moments came in the second half”.
Dave “ They seemed a tough nut to crack, and although we had lots of possession we found it difficult to break them down at times”
Hayden “ I think we started the game very well, we had a big shout for a penalty early on, had we been awarded it and scored I think the game would be very different. I think we became frustrated after around 30-35 minutes and they became more of a threat, so we had to hit the reset button up until half time. In the second half we continued to play to our principles, be patient but be aware that they had players that could hurt us so we had to keep the back door shut and in doing that waited for our moments and came off taking the three points”
Dave “ A clean sheet and Serine didn’t have a save to make, that must have been pleasing for you? “
Hayden “ That’s just the way we like it, no saves to make “
Dave “ Brilliant, another three points for the Tanners , thanks for your time Hayden”
Dont forget you catch Hayden along with David Pope, Junior kadi and Dave Tarpey in the clubhouse this Weds for our Q+A session, bar opens at 7.30pm.
