Fetcham Grove is looking really good and we have met all the ground requirements for the Isthmian Prem but we have to start planning now, just in case, perish the thought, the boys keep winning and we face another possible promotion. Unlikely in our first season up, but the board are aware that our ground would need major investment and work to play at a higher level.
To help our long term planning we have appointed two non-exec directors to advise the board going forward. Melvin Harcombe of MDH, a long term friend, shirt sponsor and supporter of our club and Matt Crowfoot of Unified 24 and Overwatch Global who have been our back of shirt sponsors for the last two years and have committed to the coming season also.
Melvin is the owner of MDH Property Solutions Ltd, has lived in the local area all his life growing up in and around Bookham and has a strong connection to the community and Leatherhead FC. For the last 6 years he has been a sponsor of the club and the coming season will be his 3rd as our major front of shirt sponsor, something that has helped ensure financial certainty as we have been planning ahead. He attends most games with his son Leo who is equally passionate about Leatherhead FC making the club an important part of his family life. His local knowledge, business experience and genuine passion for the club will make him a major asset going forward.
Matt has built businesses over two disciplines, security and property development . He has over 25 years experience in close protection and tour security working with The Rolling Stones, One direction and more recently Harry Styles on his sold out UK tour. He also alongside Unified 24 Services Group collaborates on premium hotel and hospitality developments, from land acquisition through to operational handoff. This combination gives him a valuable perspective on venues, crowds, communities and environments.
These changes position our club to be ready for all challenges, both now and in the future.
