If you love non‑league football, rain‑lashed terraces, quirky away days and the beautiful chaos of following your club everywhere, Leatherhead fan David Bryant’s book is for you. It documents game-by-game, the Tanners season, recording our first league-winning success for 62 years. Foreword by manager Ian Selley.
“Is it a match diary?
Is it a travelogue?
Are more words and paragraphs than are absolutely necessary devoted to reviewing various non-league football clubs’ hot food offerings?
The answer to all of these questions is ‘yes’, but above all else, ‘My Perfect Season With The Tanners’ is a love letter to non-league football, and of course, Leatherhead Football Club. From late winners and stunning comebacks to rain-soaked away days, pre-match rituals and the characters who make football clubs special, this book charts one Tanners fan’s self-imposed mission to miss none of the action, chronicling every twist and turn of an historic season.”
