We are delighted to say that striker Jacob Breckon has agreed to stay with Leatherhead as we prepare for our first season back in Step 3. Jacob made 49 appearances for the Tanners, finding the back of the net 21 times. The hitman scored the two goals against Littlehampton which were enough to secure the title and also scored the crucial last minute winner against Raynes Park Vale.
Manager Ian Selley said “We’ve known Jacob for a long time, taking him from Sheerwater to Westfield where he did really well. He signed for Leatherhead off the back of a MCL injury, so we managed his minutes at the start of the season. That paid off and he grew as the season went on, scoring important goals and helping us clinch the league title. He’s been great and one we always wanted to keep, so we’re really happy he’s signed on.”
