It is with regret that the Board have decided to withdraw from the Surrey Senior Cup and therefore our home tie with Chipstead on the 3rd March will no longer take place.
The wet weather has been unrelenting since December and now leaves us in a situation where we have midweek league games every week until the 14th April. In view of this and the danger of having to play Tuesday and Thursday to fit the cup rounds in we feel we have no choice but to withdraw.
We could have played the Chipstead game and pulled out afterwards had we won, but in consultation with the Surrey FA, who have been most sympathetic to our situation, it was felt we should withdraw before this tie.
Please accept our apologies for any disappointment caused by this but, as ever, the Board will always act in what it feels are the clubs best interests.
