Job Overview:
Leatherhead Football Club is seeking a dedicated and passionate CommercialManager to help drive revenue generation and sponsorship opportunities for our club.
As aCommercial Manager, you will play a vital role in expanding the club commercial activities andcontributing to its overall success.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the world of non-league football anddevelop your skills in sports management and commercial operations.
You will work closely with – and be supported by – an energetic, ambitious and talented leadershipteam at the club. So, this is a great opportunity to become involved in developing the future of thefootball club and the achievement of its ambitious plans.
Although this is a voluntary role, commission opportunities are available.
Key Responsibilities:1. Sponsorship and Partnerships:
 Identify and engage potential sponsors, partners, and advertisers to generate revenue for theclub. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new sponsors and partners,including renewal of existing partner/sponsor deals. Negotiate sponsorship agreements and contracts in collaboration with the club & leadership.
2. Advertising and Marketing:
 Working with the Media Team, create and execute marketing and promotional strategies topromote the club's matches, events, and merchandise. Oversee the creation of promotional materials and online and offline advertising campaigns. Support the Media Team in managing the club's presence on social media platforms to maximiseexposure.
3. Matchday Revenue Generation:
 Coordinate matchday activities, including matchday sponsorships. Explore opportunities for merchandise sales and concessions at home games.
4. Fundraising and Grants:
 Identify potential grant opportunities and fundraising initiatives to support the club & operations. Assist in the development of fundraising campaigns and grant applications.
5. Community Engagement:
 Foster connections with local businesses, business forums/organisations (e.g. Chamber ofCommerce) and the community to enhance the club outreach and support.
 Attend community events and represent the club at various gatherings.
6. Financial Management:
 Working with the Finance Director, track and report on revenue and expenses related tocommercial activities.
7. Collaboration and Reporting:
 Collaborate with the club leadership team to align commercial strategies with the club & overallgoals. Provide regular reports and updates on commercial activities and outcomes.Qualifications: Passion for football and in particular non-league. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proven experience in sales, marketing, or commercial roles (preferred). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer tools. Willingness to commit time and effort on a voluntary basis to support the club & mission.Benefits: Gain valuable experience in sports management and commercial operations. Networking opportunities within the football and local business communities. Gain wider exposure to the workings of a non-league football club and the other opportunitiesthat may bring. Work with others in the common goal to move Leatherhead FC forward to the next level. Working in a supportive and passionate team environment. Potential for commission earnings.
