Job Overview:
Leatherhead Football Club has an objective of increasing its profile within the community it serves;this includes improving our reputation, presence and involvement with local schools. The SchoolsLiaison Officer plays a crucial role in achieving this objective by fostering strong relationshipsbetween our football club and local schools.As a Schools Liaison Officer, you will serve as a bridge between the club and schools, facilitatingvarious initiatives and activities to promote the club.You will work closely with – and be supported by – an energetic, ambitious and talented leadershipteam at the club. So, this is a great opportunity to become involved in developing the future of thefootball club and its future as an important part of the community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong partnerships with local primary and secondaryschools, colleges, and educational institutions.2. Promote Club Initiatives: With others create and disseminate information about the club'scommunity activities, events, and promotional initiatives to schools and educationalstakeholders.3. Arrange School Visits: Organize and conduct visits to schools to promote the club, discusspotential collaborations, and engage with students and staff.4. Coordinate Player Visits: Arrange for players, coaches, or club representatives to visit schools,delivering inspiring talks, coaching sessions, or other football-related activities.5. Matchday Engagement: Collaborate with schools to organise matchday experiences forstudents, including group attendance, special seating, or halftime activities.6. Fundraising and Donations: Work with schools on fundraising projects or donation drives thatbenefit both the club and educational institutions.7. Feedback and Reporting: Collect feedback from schools and educational partners regarding theclub's involvement, and provide regular reports to the club management.8. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to school partnerships,including scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
Qualifications: Passion for football and Leatherhead FC in particular, and a genuine interest in communitydevelopment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for school events and club activities. Access to reliable transportation for school visits and events. A valid background check may be required.
