Swannell Delights At Epsom Race Course

Tanners mascot “Swannell” delighted the crowd at Epsom downs on bank holiday Monday as he took part in their annual mascot race.
Swannell raced alonside 34 other mascots and came in a very credible 13th out of 35 racers.
Media man Simon caught up with Swannell who later dashed back to Fetcham Grove to catch the Westfield game, and asked him what the experience was like, he replied ” There were some experienced runners in the field and it was difficult trying to run and hold my head on at the same time, but I had a great time and Swannell was loved by everyone, I am already looking forward to next years race”.
Swannell is sponsored by The Swan Centre in leatherhead and media team member Dave has really embraced the role of mascot this season becoming a local celebrity.
Well done Dave…. I mean Swannell , keep up the great work.
