After the match yesterday I said a few words in the Clubhouse, which I wanted to repeat online for
those that weren’t there.

Firstly, I wanted to congratulate and say thank you to all of the players and Hayden and his coaching
staff. Whilst some might be disappointed with where we finished, I prefer to look at how far the team
has come since we were near the bottom of the league earlier in the season. The recent run of
performances and victories demonstrates the ability and potential of this squad and is a result of a lot
of hard work and commitment. On behalf of the supporters, I thank all those involved on the playing
side.

I also want to thank our brilliant supporters. They are the lifeblood of this club and they are the
reason we are here – first and foremost it is their club. Their dedication is unbelievable – home and
away, rain or shine, win or lose – they are the very best in non-league football, thank you everyone.

Next, I wanted to thank all of our brilliant volunteers who help make it happen. There are too many
to name, but we all know who they are. Their dedication to this club is overwhelming and greatly
appreciated – they are the heartbeat of this great club, the work and time they put in is often unseen
and always unpaid, but I want them to know that we couldn’t exist let alone thrive without them. So,
thank you again.

A special mention and thank you to our hardworking bar and tea bar staff, Hayley, Natalie, Donna,
Dina, Hett and Tayah, thank you for all you do.

Thank you also to the Tanners Supporters Club, firstly for organising the great end-of-season party (and special thanks to Simon for manning the decks). But also, the other great work the TSC does and in particular I wanted to express the club’s gratitude for their financial support in our time of need earlier in the season.

The TSC is an important part of this club for many reasons, but this season they were a crucial part of our survival, they delivered when most needed and the club is truly grateful.

I also wanted to thank our local business partners and sponsors whose financial and other support for
the club is greatly appreciated. We want to build more and stronger partnerships with local
businesses, we are both important parts of our community and we should help each other.

Lastly, I want to make a special mention of my fellow Board members who devote so much time and
expertise to running this club and all the challenges it brings. Mick, Debbie, Gerald, Lol, John and
Junior, it’s been a real pleasure working with you and on behalf of all supporters I thank you.

I wanted to end by just reflecting that it’s been one hell of a season, there have been many ups and
downs, with lots of challenges on and off the pitch, but as ever the Tanners family – both on and off
the pitch – has met those challenges head-on, accepted the sacrifices needed and that has put us in a
position where we can be positive about the future, whatever that might bring.

As a Club we have direction and we have forward momentum, but we’re now going to take stock, do
all the work on and off the pitch that needs doing in the close season and then we go again next
season.
