We are extremely excited to announce that we will be holding a fundraising event at the club on Friday 13th OctoberÂ
“An evening with Chris Kelly’
On and off the pitch Chris ‘Leatherhead Lip’ Kelly was a key member of the famous FA Cup giant killing Tanners team of the 1970’s , making it all the way to the 4th round proper against top division Leicester City in 1975. He also played in the team that made it to Wembley for the FA trophy in the 1977-78 season.
After a brief spell in the professional game at Millwall Chris returned to leatherhead before moving to Kingstonian as a player, then manager, then director, securing consecutive FA trophy wins.
Chris now lives overseas and rarely visits the UK so we are very lucky he has agreed to join us in the clubhouse of his ‘spiritual home’ at Fetcham Grove, Leatherhead for a fundraising event for the club. Chris will spend time recalling the old days and will be happy to answer questions.
We will also be contrasting the ‘then and now’ as we will be joined by current Tanners manager, Hayden Bird too.
There will be an opportunity to have photos taken with Chris and Hayden.
We are very much looking forward to this evening of celebrating the past and present of our great club.
Table snacks provided and pies and pasties will be available at the bar. Bar opens at 7pm.
Please note we are expecting this event to be a popular one so please go online and book your tickets at the following link to avoid disappointment.
