Saturday’s home game against Metropolitan Police marks the 50th anniversary to the day of Leatherhead FC’s most famous match.
Yes, on 25th January 1975 the Tanners travelled to Filbert Street to play top-flight Leicester City in the 4th round proper of the FA Cup.
To celebrate the occasion we have invited players from that fantastic team to join us at Saturday’s game, and we hope that Tanners fans old and new will enjoy talking with them about that great day and cup run.
We hope to present the players on the pitch before the game, and we will continue the celebration in the clubhouse after the match.
