Hospitality Team Update – Hayley

After 10 fantastic years of Hayley being a massive part of the team at Leatherhead FC, she has decided it is time for her to move on.

Hayley has been a huge part of our hospitality team. She has been ever present in the clubhouse welcoming supporters, players and being an absolute legend in hosting hundreds of celebrations for our community, with her and the rest of the team working tirelessly to give people an experience to remember.

The Board would like to express our sincere thanks for everything she has done for the Club, Supporters, Community, Directors and all who have visited The Grove.

Hayley asked us to share her words below

“I am at a loss when it comes to words, but the time has come where I have decided to work full time during the week and spend more family times at weekends, but  I would like to share a few words.

I have loved working for the club and the supporters for 10 years and had a lot of laughs (and cries) along the way.  I’ve been there through the hard times and the very exciting times, FA cup journeys and away days I will always remember in the early days.

I’ve seen players leave (and come back) and have always made an extra effort to welcome new managers and training staff, as I feel it’s important to welcome everyone with open arms.

I have loved working with my best mate of 30 years at functions and match days. The functions with Natalie will always be my fav, dancing like nutters!

I’ve enjoyed working with the back room staff ie Mark my brother from another, and his new wife joining the crazy LFC family.

I thank, Debs for always having my back and supporting me through some hard times in the past couple of years. The board and all members of TSC working so hard to make the club what it is today  great community family club!

I will without a doubt miss the fans and supporters more than anything else! Always such a laugh, as a team match days always got us through the hard times and the busy work times.

And last but not least, Percy will always have a special place in my heart, what a man

This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you behind goal!  It’s been a pleasure never a chore xx”

Personally I would like to thank her, she mentions in her message about “making an effort to make everyone feel welcome” I can definitely say she most definitely did this when I first arrived some 3 years ago and has continued to do so.

Hayley has shown huge commitment to the club as she has been continuing to work at LFC whilst also working a weekday role, but the opportunity has arisen in that role for her to become a full-time employee, so the time has come for her to have some weekend time for herself and her family.

Thank you so much Hayley and we wish you every happiness and best wishes for the future, but we will see you soon cheering The Tanners on.

Don’t be a stranger Hayley.
