Leatherhead Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Kingstonian Captain, Kenny Beaney. The experienced midfield player reunites with Manager Hayden Bird, having very successfully worked together at Merstham and Kingstonian.
“I am absolutely delighted to sign Kenny,” enthused Hayden. “This truly is a statement signing to mark the new era.”
“I would like to thank the Kingstonian Directors for agreeing to release Kenny from his contractual agreement. I am delighted he has signed for Leatherhead and in doing so, turning down a number of more lucrative offers, from a higher level.”
“The squad is taking shape. The signings of Slavomir Huk and Jerry Puemo also shows the ambition of the Club. We have a good balance now. The young players will learn so much from players such as Harry, Jerry, Slav and Kenny. Not to mention the Captain Dave Tarpey, who leads by example both on and off the pitch.”
“Now we have achieved that balance, we need to add more goals to the team. The performances have been positive but we need to be more ruthless in the opponents third. That’s the next step for Leatherhead.”
